Most of my artwork is done in my "free time" when I am not treating my equine patients. I have a particular fondness for
bird dogs-hunting dogs, particularly English Shorthair Pointers and Labrador Retrievers, and I often use my own animals as
my subjects. My horse artwork is kinetic in presentation. I try to capture the movement, expression and feeling of the
horses that are my subjects. I often will only lightly outline a rider in order to keep the focus on the horse in motion. Some
of my favorite horse and pony subjects are those that train or compete in hunter jumpers, eventing, dressage, horse
racing and fox hunting. I enjoy different mediums including drawing, sketching, watercolor, pastel and pen and ink. I offer
both original work, prints and greeting cards. As a veterinarian what my subjects are feeling or actively expressing is
important to me and I try to reflect this in my art work. Thank you for your interest,
